Katie joined KTK in August 2022 and is one of the preschool teachers in the Flamingo Room at KTK. She has been caring for children for as long as she can remember, beginning with babysitting for friends and family. After graduating high school, she initially pursued nursing but soon realized that caring for the elderly, while rewarding, was not the right fit for her.
Katie began her career in early childhood education in 2019 and has since worked with children of all ages, from infants to school-aged students. However, she discovered that her favorite age group to teach is preschool. In spring 2026, she will continue her education at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Education in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education.
Katie finds teaching to be an incredibly rewarding profession, as it allows her to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time outdoors—especially kayaking and fishing—and loves to do a bit of crafting on gloomy days. She is thrilled to be part of the KTK team.
