Classrooms

Baby Chicks

Our infant room is designed to be an inviting, safe and educational space for our infants to develop and grow.  We work closely with our parents to ensure their infant's individual needs are being met each day. Cuddles, snuggles and warmth are part of our everyday routine, along with story time and the development of small and large motor, social and language skills. We take great pride in giving each infant the attention and love he or she deserves.

Penguins

As our older babies begin pulling themselves up and get ready to waddle their way into toddlerhood, this program focuses on providing experiences that allow them to play and explore their environment in a safe and relaxed manner. A variety of methods are implemented to model and help develop positive social behaviors and to promote language-rich experiences.

Story times, large and small motor experiences, and music/movement activities are encouraged on a daily basis for age-appropriate physical and cognitive growth. Your little Penguin will be cared for with patience and tenderness, while given the  opportunity and tools to learn and grow at his or her own pace.

Parrots

There is no doubt that toddlers are little bundles of energy, and much of it is focused on imitating everything around them. At KTK, we welcome that energy and excitement because it’s a natural part of growth and learning. The Parrots classroom is all about creating experiences that are active, sensory-based and meaningful. The teachers lead the Parrots through age-appropriate activities that promote the independence and enhance social skills.

This classroom also introduces creative learning centers in which your child can explore language and reading, construction, fine motor activities, dramatic play and outdoor learning.

Peacocks

What's better than watching a two-year-old show off their new skills? In our opinion, not much, except for watching them take those skills to the next level! In the Peacocks classroom, children learn through various hands-on activities and play. Some of the activities include teacher-directed art projects, music and movement, outside time, and circle time activities, which include stories, weather, talking about the day and learning new songs.

Teachers also promote independence during daily routine activities like eating, potty-training, hand washing and cleaning up. Children also build on their social skills by learning to take turns, share with friends and use words to express their feelings.

Starlings

Our preschool learning environment is primarily based on curriculums used in high-quality early education settings throughout the United States. It consists of well-planned learning centers that allow for child choice and self-directed play, small groups, and supportive teaching that prepares children for academic excellence. Children are encouraged to learn by doing.

The development of language, mathematical reasoning and scientific thought is emphasized throughout all the centers. Along with focusing on age appropriate academic topics, building social skills and developing positive character traits, your child will have many opportunities to learn through play and planned group activities.

Summer Kamp

KTK Summer Kamp is designed to unite all the fun of summer break with continued education, exploration and growth. Your child will enjoy a thematic approach to learning throughout the course of the summer that will entertain, inspire and prepare them for the upcoming school year. A new theme each week will be enhanced with field trips, art projects and academic activities. Your child’s mind, body and spirit will grow through weekly swimming excursions, outdoor exploration and play, engaging activities, healthy snacks and an overall emphasis on building a strong character and love of learning.
