Sue Schneider

Sue Schneider is the Center Director at Koala-T-Kare, and began working with us in October 2006. She also works with many of the classrooms as well as the school-aged children. Sue has a Bachelor of Science Degree from UW-Oshkosh in Elementary Education and is licensed to teach junior high English, K - 6th grade, and Early Childhood Exceptional Needs. Sue also holds a Level Fourteen Wisconsin Registry certificate.

Amanda Johnson

Amanda Johnson joined our staff in September 2009. She started working in childcare in 1999, at UW-Platteville Children's Center, Sunshine Playhouse in Lodi, and worked four years as a nanny for a family in Madison.

Amanda and her husband Justin reside in Lodi with their sons Cade and Drew. In their spare time they like to spend time as a family, travel, go to wineries and attend UW athletic games.

Classroom: Baby Chicks

Tammy Detter began her adventures with Koala-T-Kare in 2007. She started her childcare years at Playhaven in 1990. Tammy then worked as the Assistant Director from 2003-2006. She has her Registry certificate, Infant/ Toddler certificates and many other certificates in the childcare field.

Tammy also helped raise her nephews and niece who are now grown adults. Tammy and her husband Jim (a welder at Kraft) have a beautiful and spoiled hunting dog named Hemi.

Margie Tolmie joined the Koala-T-Kare team in July 2010. Born and raised in Texas, she has lived in Madison for 13 years. She has a B.S. in Education and has been working in childcare for more than 20 years and absolutely loves it! Currently, she works with the Penguins. Her professional experience includes working with children from 6 months to 17 years old and with children with a wide range of disabilities.

Margie is married and has two kids. She loves to spend time with her family watching movies, hiking, camping, reading and playing with their dog.

Jeri Mooberry

Jeri Mooberry started working here in January of 2006 before Koala-T-Kare even opened, when we had three children or less. Jeri is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor's degree. She also had a small in-home daycare while her oldest two children were in elementary school.

Jeri is the mother of three and also has a granddaughter, Maggie, who attends Koala-T-Kare. She helps teach the 4-5 year old class at her church. Several years ago she had an amazing experience when she went on a trip to Haiti and worked in an orphanage for newborns to 4-year-olds.

Elissa Kube

Elissa Kube joined the KTK staff in August 2011, as a teacher in the Parrots classroom (16-24 months).  Elissa graduated from Edgewood College in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Studies in Education. After graduation, she worked with children from a wide age range. She worked as a lead teacher with infants for a year, before moving to Washington, DC. While in DC, she was a nanny for three years.

In her free time, Elissa likes to spend time with her family and friends, go bowling, or watch a Packer/Brewers game!

Peggy Ramsey

Peggy Ramsey joined the Koala-T-Kare team in September 2009. She has worked with children of all ages and backgrounds in the childcare setting for over five years. She is a level 11 on the Wisconsin Registry and she is currently working on her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Charley Gamble

Charley Gamble joined the Koala-T-Kare team in August 2008. Charley's work experience includes over three years working in a variety of childcare settings, with ages ranging from infants up to second graders. Charley obtained his Associates Degree in Early Childhood from North Central Michigan College.

Sara Sieracki

Sara Fahrenbach joined the Koala-T-Kare staff in September 2011. She grew up in Grafton, WI, and moved to Madison in the beginning of 2011. Sara graduated in December 2010 from the University of WI-Green Bay with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. She has been working in childcare since the beginning of her college career during school breaks.

Linda Carignan has been with Koala-T-Kare since June 2008. She completed her Infant/Toddler course at MATC and holds a Level 9 Wisconsin Registry Certificate. Linda previously worked at Pine PlayHaven Childcare in Pardeeville and Gingerbread House in DeForest. She was also a Youth Services Director for the Pardeeville Library.

Linda has three children and lives in Poynette. She is excited about working at Koala-T-Kare!

Becky Lange

Becky Lange started teaching preschool at Koala-T-Kare in August 2009.  She graduated from UW-Stevens Point in December 2008 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Environmental Education. She has had many opportunities to work with children, including being a nanny, camp counselor and substitute teacher.

Becky grew up in a small town near Green Bay, WI.  Go Pack!  She now lives in Sauk City with her husband (Adam), daughter (Adelyn) and their black lab (Kodi).

Cassie Mielke joined Koala-T-Kare in May 2009. Cassie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in December 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Recreation Management.

From 2003 to 2008 while in school, Cassie was a childcare teacher at the La Crosse Area Family YMCA working with children aged 6 months to 5 years. She also worked as a Field Supervisor and Assistant Director for the Sumer Recreation Enrichment Center Pre-K program. Most recently, she worked as a Recreation and Marketing Intern and Interim Site Director for the Madison School and Community Recreation (MCSR).

Cassie Ripp

Cassie Ripp joined the Koala-T-Kare team in July 2009. She graduated from Western Technical College in May 2009 with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to joining us, she worked at Gundersen Lutheran Childcare Center in La Crosse for three years, mainly with infants and toddlers. Other experience includes teaching at Toddle Inn Daycare in La Crosse, Meriter Hospital Childcare Center in Madison, as well as Kiddie Korner and Sunshine Playhouse, both in Lodi.

Kristi Boedefeld

Kristi Boedefeld joined our teaching team in October 2012.  She began working in child care at Playhaven in 1986.  She then worked for five years at an in-home group center called It’s a Small World where, after a couple of years, she became the Program Director.  Prior to joining our team, she spent the last eighteen years as a Program Director at School’s Out Before & After School Program.

Rebee Altman

Rebee Altman joined the staff in May of 2012 as the full-time cook. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Edgewood College. She has been cooking professionally off and on for more than half her life.

Nicole Olmedo works with Koala-T-Kare as a consultant working on the ongoing development of best practices and quality improvement throughout our center. She provides oversight of curriculum development in all classes, classroom layouts, center communication/parent involvement and marketing/business development. Nicole is also a member of the School Age Summer Kamp team.
